Tunis, TUNISIA: Kenya Prions men’s volleyball team will on Monday night battle home team Esperance for the fifth position in the ongoing African Club championship in Tunis, Tunisia.

The local champions maintained their fight for top five with a nut cracking 3-2 (25-20, 25-19, 22-25, 23-25, 15-13) success over FAP of Cameroon on Sunday.

This came on the back of a 3-0 (25-15, 25-13, 25-19) defeat to Egyptian powerhouse Al Ahly on Thursday, last week in the quarter finals of the competition.

Despite stumbling in the race to win its maiden continental title, the Gideon Chenje coached team has already bettered its performance compared to the last time out.

In 2015, the last time they featured in the championship, the Warders finished 12 among the 17 teams that participated.
