Clubs set sight on promotion as Mini League kicks off

Nairobi, KENYA: Football Kenya Federation FKF Division Two Northern Zone League serves off this Friday at Mombasa Sports Club with the eight participating teams set to tussle for promotion slot.

According to zone fixtures secretary Samuel Mwongela, the clubs have been pooled in two Groups with Pool A consisting of Kilifi based Tezo, Ukunda’s SS Assad, Mwatate United from Taveta and Sparki Youth from Mombasa.

Pool B brings together Supa Matuga from Kwale, Tiki from Taveta, Shanzu United and Changamwe United both from Mombasa.

The matches run Friday through Sunday with the first match pitting SS Assad and Mwatate United before Sparki Youth face off with Tezo in Zone A.

Meanwhile, Changamwe United will battle Tiki while Shanzu United will come up against Supa Matuga in Zone B in group’s preliminary matches.

The winner of the FKF Division Two Northern Zone League will qualify to the third tier FKF Division One League next season.
