American pop singer Janet Jackson and husband Wissam Al Mana welcomed their first child, a son, on Tuesday, Jan. 3, from a statement by her representative according to The PEOPLE .
Janet who is 50, is reported to have had a healthy delivery and was happy to welcome her new son Eissa Al Mana into the world.
The singer married Qatari businessman Al Mana in 2012, and news of their first child’s impending arrival was reported in May.
She postponed her ‘Unbreakable’ World Tour early April, saying she and Al Mana wanted to focus on their family.
“My husband and I are planning our family so I’m going to have to delay the tour.” Said Janet.
In October, she showed her baby bump in a photo for the People magazine.
Janet has had two previous marriages with soul singer James Debarge in the 1980s and to dancer Rene Elizondor Jnr from 1991-2000.
