A week after Nay wa Mitego spent time in police custody for releasing a song that was deemed critical of the way affairs in Tanzania are run, another bongo artiste has gone missing.

Ibrahim Musa alias Roma Mkatoliki is missing after being picked up by people who witnesses described as police officers in the Tanzanian capital Dares Salaam alongside with his producer Moni Centrozone on Thursday morning.

This is according to Tanzanian  rapper Professor Jay who also happens to be the MP for Mikumi.

ROMA MKATOLIKI AMEKAMATWA USIKU HUU… Mpaka sasa hatujui wamewapeleka wapi!!.” Wrote proffeser Jay.

(Roma mkatoliki has been arrested…I am shocked to hear that Tongwe records was invaded by unknown people at 7.00 pm who captured Roma,Moni and one of their employees. They have also taken a computer and TV and till now their whereabouts are unknown).

Roma has collaborated with several Tanzanian artistes where he has made name  in criticizing social ills in Tanzania.

In June 2015 a few months just before the Tanzanian elections , the rapper made headlines with his single Nchi ya ahadi (Country of  promises) which he featured fellow Tanzanian rapper Kala Jeremiah where they criticized the then Tanzanian government over several failures including power rationing, high cost of living and controversies in the Mtwara gas project .

His relatives told Tanzanian media that they had visited all the police stations around the capital Dar es Salaam but they could not find him.

Several Tanzanian artistes including Vanessa Mdee, Nay wa Mitego , Diamond Platinumz, Proffeser Jay and AY have expressed concerns over his disappearance.
