You will get your passport soonest.

This is according to Deputy Government Spokesperson Ms. Mwanaisha Chidzuga.

She said the government has already acquired two brand new passport printing machines.

Speaking during an interview at Baraka FM, Ms Chidzuga revealed that most passports will be printed by end of this month.

“As we speak, many passports are being printed since we acquired new printing machines. By February most Kenyans will have their Passports”, she stated.

She also acknowledged the delay in printing the travel documents saying the government will ensure Kenyans gets the documents smoothly.

“I urge all Kenyans who intend to travel to apply for their passports and disregard those who say it will take up to a year to get one. Go and apply”, she added.

Kenyans have long been enduring delays in the processing of their applications, with some waiting for up to a year.

This is despite assurances from the Interior Cabinet Secretary, Kithure Kindiki that there will be improvements and efficiency in the passport section at the immigration
