The government will not be intimidated by the opposition to submit to its demands.

Speaking at Diani in Kwale County, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi said Azimio One Kenya coalition was only looking for ways to get positions in the government.

“Kenyans witnessed yet another orgy of senseless violence, destruction of property, and maiming of innocent lives by an anarchist Azimio leadership intent on violent power grab,” Musalia said.

Mudavadi criticized leaders for using public vehicles during protests.

He said that the Azimio anarchy was clearly treason targeted at sabotaging the economy.

“Kenyans must also question the rationale of a political cabal taking advantage of their temporary disillusionment to cause havoc on private and public facilities. Does this mayhem result in a lower cost of living? Who will pay for the destruction of the Nairobi Expressway?” Questioned the Prime CS.

Speaking while assessing the damage caused in sections of the Nairobi Expressway during Wednesday’s #maandamano, said the government will ensure perpetrators are held responsible.

“As Government, we strongly condemn these acts of hooliganism, vandalism, and lawlessness. We are exploring legal options that will ensure the perpetrators of these crimes and the organizers of yesterday’s Maandamano are held responsible through legal prosecution and footing the costs of repair” said CS Murkomen.
