Leaders allied to Azimio la Umoja One Kenya have vowed to lead Kenyans into another round of protests across the country on Wednesday.

In a press conference with leaders from the coalition National Assembly minority leader Opiyo Wandayi said they will not stop until they are heard.

Opiyo said Friday’s demonstrations were just the beginning of a new wave of civil disobedience and mass action.

“Following the resounding success that has been registered across the country, we wish to announce that we are going to continue in this journey and come next week 12th July that is Wednesday, we are going to have even more serious demonstrations across the country,” said Wandayi.

After the demonstrations, they will hold a massive rally at Kamukunji grounds.

The NA Minority leader said that they had already informed the police so as to give them protection and not disrupt the protest.

“Let me say this, that the role of the police in this matter is simply to provide security to the peaceful demonstrators and assemblers, we are not giving any notice as a way of seeking permission from anybody, least of all the police,” he said.

On Friday, Azimio leaders led scores of Kenyans in different parts of the country to protest and lament over the high cost of living.
