Mombasa County Nominated Senator Miraj Abdillahi has issued a 72 hours ultimatum hours to UDA party Vice Chair Hassan Omar Sarai and Nyali Member of Parliament Mohammed Ali to resolve the leadership wrangles within the party in Mombasa County.

The senator said the wrangles pose a threat to the existence of the party in the county.

She further pointed out that the political wrangles between the two leaders could derail the party’s grassroots elections slated for August this year.

“Im giving you an ultimatum of 72 hours for you to sort out your differences. Mombasa County has no shortage of leaders. I also have the capability to lead the party in Mombasa County. Why have they failed to recognize me as a national leader’’ noted Sen. Miraj.

Miraj further accused the two leaders of allegedly sending goons to a past party meeting held at the Kenya School of Government.

“The teargas came from one of the two leaders. It is a shame, especially for the two leaders who want to take control of Mombasa County,’’ said the nominated senator.

The vocal senator lashed out at the politicians saying that the 44 percent that the two leaders boast about is a result of mama mboga’s dedication to popularizing the party in mashinani.

She also noted that the UDA party is currently investigating the cause of the previous mayhem experienced at the Kenya School of Government where party members were teargassed.
