Supreme Court to deliver judgement on Presidential Election Petition at noon

The Supreme Court of Kenya will deliver judgement on the Presidential Election Petition at noon today.

A notice from the Supreme Court Registrar Letizia Wachira indicates that the judgement on the Presidential Election Petition will be delivered at 12pm.

TAKE NOTICE that the judgement in this petition will be delivered on Monday the 5th day of September, 2022 at 12.00 noon at the Supreme Court of Kenya Milimani Law Courts,” read the notice.

The seven member court led by Chief Justice Martha Koome will deliver the judgement on whether to uphold or nullify the result of the August 9th presidential election.

Both main parties involved in the petition i.e President-Elect William Ruto, whose election is being challenged, and Azimio leader Raila Odinga, who filed the petition challenging the August 9th presidential elections, said they will respect the court’s ruling.
