MOMBASA: Residents of Mombasa are currently voting for their governor.

Reports at various polling stations in the county indicate that the voter turnout is currently low compared to the turnout in the August 9th general elections.

Several stations have no queues and in others there are only police officers and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) staff.

Polling stations were opened at 6am and will be closed at 5pm.
