Harambee Starlets forward Mbeyu Esse Akida’s first ever 90 minutes in a PAOK shirt in women’s Champions league came with a convincing win of 2-0 against English side Swansea City.

The former Thika Queens star helped her Greek side to win the first round of the Champions league semi-final at home on Thursday.

The Kilifi born forward used her Facebook page to express her feelings of getting her first 90 minutes in the Champions league.

Akida penned a new deal with the Thessaloniki side in July this year after a promising start since joining PAOK on August 15th 2021. The 30-year-old netted a hat-trick in her Champions league debut against Anenii Noi in August, 2021 before receiving the MVP award from the Greece Football journalists three days later.
