Former Liverpool forward Luiz Suarez has warned his fellow Uruguayan and new Liverpool signing Darwin Nunez to be careful with defenders following his first red card in Anfield debut on Monday.

The Liverpool record signing was sent off in 57th minute after head butting Crystal Palace defender Joachim Andersen while his side was one goal down at home.

Luiz Suarez who found himself as one of Liverpool legends following his great career at Merseyside has warned the 23-year-old to control his temper while playing.

“I was talking to him because he is just starting out and to make him aware that from now on, opponents will be seeking him out twice or three times more often. It will only get worse if he gives them chances,” said Suarez.

Suarez, 35, is one of the victims who fell into the ‘defenders trap’ during his time in the English Premier league that saw him banned two-times by FA. Liverpool vice captain James Milner and Virgl van Dijk are one of the senior players who issued a warning to the former Benfica star.
