Education Cabinet Secretary Professor George Magoha has postponed schools re-opening date.
In a press statement, CS Magoha said schools will be re-opened on Monday 15th August 2022.
“On 1st August 2022, I ordered the early closure of all Basic Education Institutions to allow for adequate preparation and conduct of the General Elections.We indicated that reopening would be on 11th of August 2022,” read the statement.
However, CS Magoha said that the ministry had been informed that the tallying process may still be going on on the 11th of August hence the postponement of the reopening to 15th of August, 2022.
“We apologize for any inconvenience occasioned by these changes and ask for your indulgence, as we work through ensuring the safety and comfort of learners through this period,” read the statement.
