If latest reports from various European medias are true, then Liverpool are on the neck to lose Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino as Italian giants Juventus push to sign the 30-year-old this summer.

The Old Lady has already submitted an official bid of £23m to Liverpool, which is enough to sign the star who made a dangerous trio alongside Sadio Mane and Mohammed Salah at Liverpool in the past four seasons.

The former Hoffenheim man is said to be ready for a new challenge following the limited time he has been given at Anfield recently as Jurgen Klopp prefered to use Mane, Salah, Diogo Jota and Luiz Diaz as his best attackers.

The Germany tactician signed Darwin Nunez from Benfica to replace Sadio Mane and he is expected to be the first-choice forward next season considering the amount of money Liverpool spent on him.

Firmino’s ambition to represent his country in the Qatar World Cup later this year may also add to his desire to leave Merseyside before the close of this transfer window.

Sadio Mane’s departure to join Bundesliga side Bayern Munich has been painful for Liverpool supporters and as per Jurgen Klopp’s comments that he was done with his transfer plans may force him to re-think if Firmino will part ways with the reds.

Juve’s main target was Alvaro Morata but now they are much closer to land the Brazilian star.
