A class 8 candidate from Likoni who was reported missing has been found dead.
Mohammed Salim Manji had been reported missing three days ago before his body was found today floating on the Indian Ocean
His family reported him missing from his Mwananguvuze home and had launched desperate attempts to trace him.
“He was wearing a blue Chelsea FC t-shirt and a black short,” said the family during the search for the now deceased.
Police had transferred the body to Coast General Hospital mortuary and recorded it as unknown after it was discovered floating along Mama Ngina Indian Ocean waters.
The family found his body today at the mortuary saying it had physical injuries on the forehead.
The family has picked the body for burial in accordance with Muslim rights while calling for investigations to unravel what caused his death.
