17-year-old criminal killed in Likoni

A 17-year-old criminal was on Friday evening lynched by an angry mob in Likoni.

Michael Omondi was believed to have been part of a gang terrorizing residents in Likoni.

The deceased is said to have snatched a phone from a member of the public, leading to a chase by irate members who descended on him with kicks and blows.

He was rescued by police from Inuka police station and taken to Likoni sub-county hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

His body has been transferred to Coast General Hospital Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
