Kilifi North Mp Owen Baya threatened to sue a private developer for demolishing houses despite a court order.
According to Baya, the private developer rendered many families homeless in Nayeni village, Kilifi County last week.
He says the developer should be charged for contempt of court.
“He went ahead and demolished houses under police guard despite a court order stopping demolitions. This is contempt of court and action must be taken”, he stated.
The Mp also urged victims of the demolition to stay put in the land.
” They should not move even an inch”, he added.
Baya also accused police of entrenching impunity.
