Businessman and Media owner Chris Kirubi has died.
The 80-year-old Capital Group Chairman, entrepreneur and industrialist succumbed on Monday 14th June 2021 after a long battle with cancer.
Kirubi or DJ CK as many referred to him was diagnosed with stage two colon cancer in 2018 and first opened up about his battle with cancer in September 2019.
“I know that cancer diagnosis can be very devastating to the person who is receiving the news and the people close to them. I have been on the receiving end myself,” said Kirubi when he first spoke of his fight with cancer.
“For those who are battling cancer, I would like to urge you to continue fighting, maintain a positive attitude and take things a day at a time. We shall continue to draw from the heart of suffering itself the means of inspiration and survival. Do not give up. There is hope,” he added.
Kirubi chaired 10 companies including; Haco Industries, DHL Express Kenya LTD, Capital Group, Nairobi Bottlers LTD among others.
