At least 17,542 people in the Coast region have received the COVID-19 jab.
A statement from the Ministry of Health shows that in Mombasa County, 3,568 medics out of the total 4,500 in the county, have received the AstraZeneca jab.
50 journalists and 2,056 teachers have also received the jab.
In Kilifi County, 4,478 have received the jab, Taita Taveta 2,784, Kwale 2,448.
In Tana River 680, Lamu 537 people have been vaccinated respectively.
Mombasa County received 9,000 vaccine doses.
