A Nairobi court has issued a warrant of arrest against Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi for failing to appear in court.
The Governor is said to have failed to appear in court several times over a case involving four men who allegedly tried to extort sh.30 million from him.
The court argues that if Kingi fails to appear before it ,he will render the case amorphous, with lack of backed evidence and weak.
The court now wants Kingi and another witnesses arrested and presented before the court for further direction.
The four men, who are traders from Mombasa, have been accused of posing as Ethics and Anti corruption sleuths, investigating alleged misappropriation of funds.
It is alleged that the offence transpired in Nairobi, 2018.
They denied the charges.
