Joho refutes claims of resigning as ODM Deputy Party leader

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho has refuted claims that he has resigned as the ODM deputy party leader.

Joho on Thursday evening shared a letter circulating on social media purporting that he had resigned from a powerful position he holds in the Orange Democratic Movement party terming it fake.

He further assured his supporters that the Orange party was intact quoted “chama iko imara”.

A letter dated 4th October 2020 addressed to ODM party leader Raila Odinga alleges that Governor Joho had resigned and appreciated Party leadership for the position he has served.

Joho who is a second-term governor has been a close ally to the ODM Party leader Raila Odinga.

It’s the second-time Joho has been forced to respond to claims that he has tendered resignation as an ODM deputy party leader.
