Mvita leads in new COVID-19 infections in Mombasa as County registers 22 cases

Mvita Sub County has registered the highest COVID-19 cases in Mombasa in the last 24 hours.

According to a press release sent to media houses from the Ministry of Health, Mvita registered (8), Jomvu (7), Kisauni (5), with Changamwe and Nyali registering (1) each.

Kwale County recorded four new COVID_19 cases.

Nairobi again leads with the new infections as the Country recorded 184 cases in the last 24 hours.

Among the cases, 110 are male and 74 female while the youngest is a 2-month-old infant and the eldest is 88 years old.

Kenya has now registered 38,713 cases since the outbreak of the virus in the country in March.

Seven patients have also succumbed to the virus raising the number of fatalities to 718.

Meanwhile, 115 people recovered from the virus, 67 were under the home-based care system while 48 were released from various health facilities across the country.
