Mombasa has recorded 16 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
In a statement, Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe said the 16 cases in Mombasa are from Changamwe, Kisauni, Jomvu and Mvita.
From the Coastal front Kilifi recorded one case, from Kaloleni area.
Nationally, Nairobi recorded 65 cases, Kitui 27 cases, Uasin Gishu 13 cases and Embu 10.
The CS indicated that in the last 24 hours 190 people tested positive for COVID-19, from a sample size of 4,609 bringing the total number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 to 35,793.
From the recent development, 182 are Kenyans while 8 were foreigners.
136 are male and 54 are female as the youngest is one year old while the oldest is 85 years.
He indicated that 395 people recovered, 116 from home-based care and 279 from various health facilities, bringing total number of recoveries to 22,442.
Four patients succumbed to the disease bringing raising the number of COVID-19 fatalities to 616.
