Police in Likoni are investigating a cold blood murder that was reported early Wednesday.
The unidentified male is believed to have been strangled to death.
Police are yet to establish when the deceased was killed but the body was found at Mkunazini area within Shika Adabu in Likoni, Mombasa County.
According to police report, the deceased was found early Wednesday lying in a thicket.
Likoni Sub County police commander Jane Munywoki said that police have launched investigations into the murder.
“An incident was reported on Wednesday morning and when police officers visited the scene, they found a body of unidentified male in his late twenties murdered,” said Munywoki.
Munywoki said that the scene looked disturbed, an indication that there was a struggle during the incident.
She further said that police are yet to establish the motive that lead to his death.
The body was taken to Coast general hospital morgue awaiting postmortem.
