Ray of hope as new recoveries surpass new COVID-19 cases

The country has recorded 32 recoveries of COVID-19 against 23 new confirmed cases.

This is according to the Health Cabinet Administrative Secretary Rashid Aman who said that the number is the highest ever recorded ever since the virus was first detected in the country back in March.

This he says raises hopes of critically ill critically ill patients recovering from the disease.

“In the past we have seen serum from recovered patients being used to treat critically ill COVID-19 patients” Aman said.

Out of the 23 new cases,Mombasa continued to register the highest number of new cases with 12 of them coming from the coastal county.

Mvita which has continously registered the highest number of cases registered eight cases while Likoni and Kisauni recorded two cases each.

The coastal county has recorded two new deaths bringing the number of deaths to 32.

Six new cases were also recorded in Mandera while Kajiado and Nairobi recorded one and four cases each.

4,131,037 cases have been recorded globally with 62,057 coming from Africa
