With the first case of the deadly coronavirus being
reported in the country, simple hygiene measures can help you escape from being
infected with the disease.
Here is a list of preventive measures that you can follow:
Regularly and thoroughly wash your hands with soap and water, or used alcohol based hand-sanitizer. Thoroughly washing your hands mean at least four good minutes, ensuring you have scrubbed all parts even between the fingers.

Maintain a distance of at least one metre (five feet) between yourself and anyone who is sneezing or coughing. If you have a cough or cold, stay home or keep a social distance. Just avoid mixing with others in a crowd.
Maintain good respiratory hygiene by covering your mouth and nose while coughing and sneezing with a handkerchief, tissues, or into flexed elbow. Coughing into your palm helps in spreading not only the virus but flu too, so just use your flexed elbow.
Stay at home if you feel unwell with symptoms like fever, cough and difficulty in breathing. Go to the nearest hospital with testing facilities to get tested for the virus if you have the symptoms.

Finally avoid handshakes. As the Government Spokesman Cyrus Oguna said, “make it a habit to adopt clasping your hands together or holding the chest (putting hand on your chest) as a form of greeting.”
You can carry a small bottle of the hand sanitizer to use while in public places.
