A man is being held at Kayole police station for allegedly killing his wife.
Police arrested the suspect, Washington Ochieng Onyango on Wednesday on suspicion that he murdered his deceased wife, Priscila Cherono.
Police report indicates Washington was the last person seen with the deceased at a rented house in Kioi area within Soweto in Kayole.
“Cherono was taken to Avenue Hospital in Greenspan estate for treatment but was confirmed dead on arrival. She had physical injuries all over her body,” said the police report.
Makadara Chief Magistrate Heston Nyaga allowed police to hold the suspect for 10 days while they carry out investigations.
A postmortem to ascertain the cause of death is yet to be done.
