Senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has responded to Machakos governor Alfred Mutua who has accused him of threatening his life together with National assembly leader Adan Duale and Deputy President William Ruto.

In a post made on his Facebook account, Murkomen accused Mutua of using such accusations to gain political mileage.

“Mr.Mutua is writing another episode of his cobra squad series. Having failed spectacularly as a leader he turned himself into a Joseph Goebbels of his county government He is of no consequence to anyone to deserve any attention let alone threats. Let’s just watch the cinematic.vipindiree” Murkomen wrote.

Cobra squad is an action TV series that had been written by the vibrant governor.

Mutua made the accusations on Monday.

Speaking during a press briefing at the Kilimani police station to record a statement in Nairobi, Mutua accused the trio for making statements which have threatened his life.

He said that he was prompted to record statement due to the intensity of such statements which he insisted that he will not take them lightly.

“I am writing to bring to your attention, that the above named persons have threatened my life on different occassions, on unspecified consequences because of my statements on national issues.”Mutua said

The governor said that on 25th of November this year while at state house when President Uhuru Kenyatta was receiving the BBI report, Duale and Murkomen allegedly threatened him.

Also on a separate occasion at statehouse, on 11th of Dec this year, Ruto too threatened him.

“I am putting this forth to Kenyans should anything unusual happen to me or to my family members the three should be held accountable.”Mutua said

He urged the government to investigate the matter, and bring the culprits to book.

He wants the government to beef his security after undergoing such threats.
