Kenya’s deputy president Rigathi Gachagua was on Thursday night impeached by the senate.
This comes days after the national assembly impeached him for 10 offenses.
55 senators against 66, voted to impeach Gachagua by upholding most charges brought against him.
He had earlier reported ill and failed to appear for cross examinations in the impeachment trial that lasted two days in senate parliament.
Speaker of the senate Amason Kingi has already gazetted the impeachment in a special gazette notice issued after the impeachment
