Government yet to finalize investigations into KCAA employee suicide

Nairobi, KENYA: Government is investigating last month’s suicidal incident involving Kenya Civil Aviation Authority employee in Mombasa .

Speaking when he appeared before National Assembly transport committee on Tuesday, Transport Cabinet Secretary James Macharia said that government agencies are still investigating the matter and once the results are ready he will table the conclusion before the committee.

“The incident is being investigated by relevant government agencies and we will get back to the committee,” Macharia said

The worker, an aerodrome control officer, is alleged to have jumped from the Air traffic control tower at Mombasa International Airport last month.

KCAA Director General Gilbert Kibe, had indicated that he lost his life ‘after jumping from the control tower in unclear circumstances
