A flight control officer committed suicide at the Moi International Airport in Mombasa.
The officer who is yet to be identified jumped off the control tower under unclear circumstances.
This is according to a statement released by the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority director general Gilbert Kibe.
“The family of the deceased has been informed and our officers are working closely with relevant authorities to investigate the incident,” Kibe said.
The authority also said it was counseling the colleagues of the deceased who witnessed the incident.
This comes just a few hours after a woman committed suicide in Meru County with her relatives blaming her action on relationship woes.
