Kilifi, KENYA: Police in Kilifi County have impounded bhang weighing 434 Kilograms with a street value of Sh. 4,340,00.
Speaking to Baraka FM, the outgoing Kilifi County police commander Frederick Ochieng said officers on patrol along Bamba-Mariakani road intercepted a motor vehicle registration number KBY 243X Toyota fielder white in color vehicle and found drugs packed inside car boot and back seat.
However, nobody was arrested during the incident.
“The driver and the passenger of the vehicle jumped off and disappeared into the nearest bush,B” said Ochieng.
Ochieng said the motor vehicle with registration number KBY 243X is currently detained at the police station as investigations to trace the culprits and the motor vehicle owner continues.
He further cautioned public that any motor vehicle which will be intercepted while being used for drug trafficking will be forfeited to the stated through a court process.
