Mombasa, KENYA: ODM members of parliament have blasted leaders from Deputy President Willam Ruto’s faction for disparaging Mombasa governors name by linking him to drugs business.

In a media briefing at parliament buildings led by minority chief whip Junet Mohammed, the MPs slammed Nandi governor Stephen Sang over what they term as abusive language he has been spewing to Joho, a move they said that must stop .

Junet said that the legislators including Kapseret mp Oscar Sudi, Kikuyu mp Kimani Ichugwa and Kimilili mp Didmus Barasa’s assertion against Joho is mere formulation of political schemes because Joho is eyeing top government position come 2022 general elections.

They downplayed Joho as wanted leader insisting that he has been travelling globally and has officially written to the relevant authorities over the matter they are alleging.

Junet said the legislators from Ruto’s camp tried to stage manage their own attacks and blame governor Joho as the mastermind.

“They do some attacks, shoot themselves and then blame governor Hassan Joho. Our Intel is so high and if anything happens to those people just know that it is a game they are playing by themselves,” Junet said.
