Voi,KENYA: A 21- year -old Woman was on Monday sentenced to 12 years in jail for inserting her fingers inside the private parts of a five year old girl.
Ruth Manga who hails from Mwakingali village in Voi, pleaded guilty to the charges and causing bodily harm to the girl.
The court was told Manga committed the offense on diverse dates between December 2018 and January 2019.

Voi Resident Magistrate Ann Karemi said the prosecution proved beyond reasonable doubt that the accused committed the indecent act on a minor in more than one occasion.
The court was told how the Woman who is a domestic worker, used to lure her neighbour’s five year old with food before molesting her.
The child’s grandmother was concerned after she cried of pain whenever she was being bathed, forcing her family to take her to hospital for medical check up.
It is then that the grandmother reported the matter to Police after suspecting her grand child was being molested.

The accused has 14 days to appeal the sentence.
