Eric Omondi feted as best African comedian in international awards

Former Churchill show comedian Erick Omondi was on Sunday awarded as the best comedian in the African entertainment awards held in the USA over the weekend.

Erick Omondi emerged the winner among many renowned competitors like his close friend Chipukizeey, Ugandan comedian Patrick Salvador and  Nigerian comedian Basketmouth.

 Eric who announced his victory on Instagram couldn’t hide his happiness as his fans sent congratulatory messages.

The awards saw several winners emerge from East Africa.

After missing out in the AFRIMMA awards WCB crew has dominated the African Entertainment awards

The Diamond owned label bagged four major awards in the AEA among them Best male artist of the year by Diamond Platnumz, Diamond’s official DJ Ronny Jones mostly known as RJ THE DJ scooped best DJ while Rayvanny bagged best vocalist award.

African beauty hit song by Diamond featuring Omarion won the best collabo of the year award. Harmonize bagged the best male East South and North Africa to bring a total of four awards.

The star had fallen for the WCB in AFRIMMA awards held earlier this month at the House of blue in Texas which saw none of the recording member bagging an award with artiste like Uganda’s Eddy Kenzo flooring Diamond Platnumz and emerging victorious in the Best East African act category.

Other artiste whose star shone on the AEA awards includes Kenyan Sauti Soul who bagged Best group of the year.

The African Entertainment Award founded by Dominic Tamin which aims at identifying talent is held once a year.
