If you are using Super petrol, in Mombasa, you will be paying sh.1.73 less for a litre of the product starting tomorrow.
Those in Nairobi will pay sh2.21 less per litre for the same product.
According to Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC), Diesel and Kerosene prices will increase by 87 and 29 cents in Mombasa and 39 and 29 cents respectively in Nairobi.
In the ERC monthly review of petroleum products retail prices released on Friday, a litre of Super petrol in Mombasa will retail for sh.122.76, Diesel sh.112.65 and Kerosene sh.94.90 while in Nairobi it will be sh.125.59 for Super petrol, sh.115.47 Diesel and sh.97.70 for Kerosene.
The release of the monthly reviews coincided with President Uhuru Kenyatta’s recommendation to slash the 16% VAT on fuel by half following a public outcry.
