Chinese man who called Kenyans ‘monkeys’ deported

The Chinese National, Li Jiaqi, who was captured on video using abusive language against President Uhuru Kenyatta has been deported.

A statement by the immigration department has confirmed that Li was deported on racism grounds.

Earlier today the immigration department had cancelled his work permit.

Li, a business man and the Sonlink CEO, has been operating in Ruiru town, Kiambu County, Where he was captured on video on Wednesday using abusive language against Kenyans and President Uhuru.

The Chinese embassy spokesman in Kenya, Zhang Gang had earlier condemned the man’s sentiments.

“The personal talk and personal feeling of this young man does not represent the views of the vast majority of the Chinese people,” Zhang said.
