Michael Olunga could ditch Chinese side Guizhou Zhicheng for Japanese outfit Kashiwa Reysol, reports Japanese media.

Olunga who plied his trade with Spanish club Girona last season is believed to be in advanced talks with Kashiwa, with the deal expected to materialize this month according sources close to the player.

If the deal goes through, the 24 year old towering forward will join big names like Andrea iniesta, Lucas Podolski and Fernando Torres who recently moved to the Chinese top tier.

Despite starring with the national team, the former GorMahia striker has been relegated from Guizhou Zhicheng first team, a move that has prompted him to look for options elsewhere.

Olunga rose to stardom while at Gor Mahia in 2015 before moving to Swedish side IF Djurgadens where he would then join Guizhou Zhicheng in a record of sh.450M deal.
