Nairobi, KENYA: Gor Mahia striker Jacquese Tuyisenge is the Kenyan Premier League best player for the month of June.
The Rwandan import has been feted following a superb run he had in June where he scored five goals to help Gor Mahia maintain its unbeaten run in the league this season.
Tuyisenge fended off competitions from teammate Francis Kahata and Bandari FC goalkeeper Faruk Shikalo to scoop the KPL monthly accolade.
He takes home Ksh. 100,000 and a personalized trophy while his club gets Ksh. 50,000 for his services.
Gor Mahia remain the only team yet to taste a defeat this season, and they are sitting comfortably at the summit of the league with 52 points, 12 better than second-placed Sofapaka who have played three matches more.
