ODM condoles with the late Senator Ben Oluoch’s family

Nairobi, KENYA: Following the demise of Migori Senator Ben Oluoch Okello, Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party have expressed their sincere and heartfelt condolences to the family.

Through a statement sent to the newsroom, ODM secretary general Edwin Sifuna recognized Okello as a great man, a journalist and a father who loved his job and family and also a man whose eagerness and the urge was to serve the people of Migori County in the legislature.

“Our sincere and heartfelt condolences to his wife Hellen Achieng and their children, friends, relatives, colleagues in the Senate and the people of Migori County for the loss,” the statement read in part.

Sifuna said that, on behalf of party leader H.E Raila Odinga and the entire party leadership, they will stand with the family of the late senator in every way during this difficult time of grief.

The Migori Senator Ben Oluoch died at MP Shah Hospital in Nairobi on Monday night after suffering from throat cancer.

The late Oluoch had been treated at various places including India.

His body was taken to Lee Funeral Home.
