Mombasa, KENYA: Mombasa high court has reinstated Port Managing Director Catherine Muturi.
Justice Erick Ogolla on Tuesday afternoon issued interim orders suspending decision made by KPA board on 30th May 2018 to suspend Ms. Mturi and appoint Daniel Manduki as the MD.
Justice Ogolla of the constitutional and judicial review issued the orders pending hearing and determination of the application filed by a Mombasa resident Emmanuel Chengo Kenga.
Mr.Kenga sued KPA, Transport Cabinet Secretary and Attorney General for allegedly suspending Ms. Mturi un- procedurally.
Court also directed Mr.Kenga to serve the respondents with the suit papers through a notice on newspaper.
The application will be heard on June 12.
Activist Okiya Omtatah had also filed a separate application in labour and environment courts seeking reinstatement of Ms. Mturi.
