Mombasa,KENYA: A police woman arrested on the suspicion of soliciting a sh 3,000 bribe will be charged in Mombasa court today.
Ethics and Anti corruption officers (EACC) arrested the officer in Mombasa for allegedly soliciting a bribe from a motorist.
It is alleged that Alice Naisiae Yaile received a bribe of sh 3000 from a motorist in order to release a licence and insurance sticker that she had earlier consficated.
The suspect was held at port police station.
EACC coast region boss George Ojowi said that more than ten driving licences, driving permits and a total of sh 29,000 were recovered in the morning operation.
