Nairobi,KENYA: President Kenyatta also asked Kenyans for forgiveness over his utterances during last year’s charged political campaign.

“If there is anything I said last year that hurt or wounded you. If I damaged the unity of the country in anyway, I ask you to forgive me,” he said.

Kenyatta also urged Kenyans to forgive each other and join hands to better the nation.

He commended Nasa leader Raila Odinga for putting the interests of the country first by agreeing to join unity talks.

“So let me praise the statesmanship he showed when on 9 March, he and I publicly committed to reconciliation with the Kenyan people as our witness”, added Kenyatta.
