Man charged with murder of Swiss couple in Mombasa

Mombasa, KENYA: A suspect linked to the murder of two Swiss nationals found dumped at Kiembeni in Mombasa last year, was on Tuesday charged in a Mombasa court.

Humphrey Guma Igadwa allegedly murdered the couple paul Borner Werner and Marianne Borner on 20th August 2017 in their home Nyali estate, before their bodies were dumped by the roadside in Kiembeni Kisauni sub-County.

Mr.Igadwa pleaded not guilty to the murder charges before Lady Justice Dorah Chepkwony.

The deceased’s caretaker and the night guard were earlier arrested and charged in connection with the death of the couple.

The court has directed the office of DPP to consolidated two files and set the case for hearing on 18th April 2018.

The accused person will remain in custody after the prosecution told the court they intend to file an affidavit opposing the bond.
