Missing 6-year-old boy found dead inside Bishop’s car in Likoni

Mombasa, KENYA: A 6-year-old boy who went missing on Sunday has been found dead inside a bishop’s private car in Likoni, Mombasa.

He was found dead inside Bishop Joseph Maisha’s car a Toyota saloon parked outside the church premises.

The deceased Emmanuel Wasike a pupil at Amurt academy in Likoni sub-county, was last seen at Ushindi Baptist church in Likoni performing during the Sunday service at around 10 am together with other kids, police said.

He later went missing prompting parents to carry out a search and also went to Likoni police station to report.

Likoni DCI boss Henry Ndombi on Monday confirmed to Baraka FM that they were informed that there was a child inside the car and that’s when he dispatch officers to establish the matter.

“We want to establish how did the kid get inside the car, the body has no physical injury there are so many things we are looking as per now, we want to get to the bottom,”DCI boss Henry Ndombi told Baraka FM on phone.

He said they yet to received bishop’s side as part of the investigations.

The body was moved to Coast General morgue awaiting postmortem.
