Mombasa, KENYA; Bandari FC’s season took a new twist on Sunday after they suffered yet another defeat at home to Chemelil Sugar who picked maximum points in a 1-0 success at the Mbaraki stadium.
The stumble left head coach Paul Nkata with a lot of questions to address both from the management and fans, who are becoming intolerant with the team’s recent poor run of results.
And to avoid being grilled, the Ugandan tactician refused a post-match briefing from the media raising concern over his future at the club which brought him at the start of the season hoping for improvement.
Meanwhile the defeat came just three days after the Dockers had lost 3-0 to Tusker FC at the same venue, result that has seen them dropped to 10th in the league standings on 33 points.
Elsewhere Gor Mahia edged closer to reclaiming the title after defeating defending champions Tusker 2-0 at the weekend opening a gap of 12 points at the summit.
Second placed Sofapaka lost 2-1 to Kakamega Homeboyz, Ulinzi Star won 1-0 against Mathare United while Posta Rangers and Thika United shared the spoils in a one all draw.
