Tusker FC sinks Bandari as Leopards claws Thika United

Mombasa, KENYA: Kenyan Premier League reigning champions Tusker FC revived their title hopes with a 3-0 humbling of hosts Bandari FC at the Mbaraki stadium on Wednesday.

Goals apiece from Allan Wanga, Humphrey Mieno and Michael Khamati is all that Tusker needed to avenge the 1-0 defeat they suffered in the first leg meeting.

With the victory Tusker moved to fifth position in the league standings on 39 points, tied with third placed Kariobangi Sharks who has superior goal difference.

In other day’s matches thirteen time champions AFC Leopards humbled Thika United 2-0, Posta Rangers held Kariobangi Sharks to a two all draw while Muhoroni Youth and Nakumatt FC settled for a 1-1 stalemate.

The league continues on Saturday where leaders Gor Mahia will battle defending champions Tusker FC, Mathare United will be up against soldiers Ulinzi Stars while Bandari will host Chemelil Sugar on Sunday.
