Nairobi, KENYA; AFC Leopards’ three matches winning streak was halted on Wednesday after they lost 1-0 to Sony Sugar in the Kenyan Premier League midweek match staged at Kericho stadium.

Yemi Mwana’s first half goal is all that Sony needed to down Ingwe and record yet another famous victory in a span of four days, having had trounced defending champions Tusker FC 2-0 last weekend.

At Sudi Stadium in Bungoma county hosts Nzoia United bagged three points by coasting past visiting Bandari FC 3-0, condemning the former to its second defeat in succession.

In other results Kariobangi Sharks hammered Mathare United 3-0, Posta Rangers and Muhoroni Youth played out to barren draw, the same results Western Stima and Homeboyz recorded.

Elsewhere, title holders Tusker bounced to back to their winning ways by overcoming Zoo FC 2-1 in a nail-biting clash that saw Stephen Owusu came off the bench to score the winner for the Breweres.

Soldiers Ulinzi Stars too ended the day with maximum points after they surprised second placed Sofapaka FC 2-1, leaving the 2009 champions six points behind leaders Gor Mahia who have two matches to play.
