Mombasa,KENYA:Police in Mombasa County on Saturday morning seized 610 rolls of Bhang in approved area of Likoni.
Police say they also arrested a woman suspected to be behind the business.
Likoni police Chief Willy Simba said the suspect Margaret Achieng 32, was nabbed by anti narcotics officers in her house after a tipoff from members of the public.
He said the street value of the bhang is approximately sh 500,000.
We got a tipoff from public and we moved Swiftly, we managed to arrest one woman who is now in police custody, “said the police boss.
He said they are hunting for more suspects whom he said they escaped.
He said the woman hinted to police that she has been smuggling the drugs into the country from Tanzania.
The suspect is being held at Inuka police station waiting to be arraigned in court Tuesday.
