Late Papa  Wemba’s fans marking  1st anniversary through the week

Fans of the late Congolese singer Papa Wemba  all over Africa are set to mark to mark the 1st anniversary since the legendary singer passed on .

The tribute concert has already been held in Brusells in Belguim and one is set to beheld in  Abidjan in Cote D’Ivorie while another is set to be held in Nairobi on Sartuday.

According to a post on the singer’s instagram page, revelers are expected to be dressed in white and assemble at the Marcory Anoumabo neighborhood in Abidjan, Cote D’ivorie

In Nairobi the tribute  show has been planned at the Dolce club located at the Nairobi C.B.D  at with the club charging sh 2000 for vip and sh 1000 for the normal seats.

Over the past few weeks  the late singer’s social media team has been  promoting his last album “Forever de generation en generation” (From generation to generation forever) which was released on September 2016 alongside several artistes including Diamond Platinumz  and Francophone singers Nathalie Makoma , Werrason, Manu Dibango , Fally Ipupa and Ferre Gora.

The late singer who was known for his elegant dressing passed on aged 66 after he  collapsed while performing on stage in the Ivorian capital Abidjan on  April 24th 2016.
